
Our Staff
Patron: Juliet Stevenson, CBE
The actress, Juliet Stevenson took part in our opening event in 1999, and has been a supporter of our work since then. She has taken an interest in the problems of refugees and asylum seekers after appearing in "Death of a Maiden", a play about torture in South America, and has done work for Amnesty International. She has also helped refugees from Kosova.
Staff
Currently we have 1 full time and 4 part time members of staff.
Sarah Reynolds: Project manager
Sarah has a background in teaching in Inner London, specialising in EAL. She also spent several years in Chile where she set up and ran an educational consultancy.
Ben Smith: Assistant manager
Ben's focus is on fund-raising. He also works in an advisory capacity, providing practical assistance to parents and families in the local community. His background is in youth/play work and childcare.
Tommy Evans: Play Co-ordinator
Tommy comes from a background in the sonic and visual arts and devotes his energies to nurturing the creative abilities of the children in the After School Club and Holiday Club. He also provides practical assistance to parents and families in the local community.
Johanna Freudenberg: Artist at the After School Club
Johanna was a parent at Salusbury Primary School for the 17 years her children were in the school. She works as a garden designer and artist. The daughter of refugee parents, she values using teaching arts and crafts as a means of celebrating a multicultural community.
